What Is a Sewer Line Cleanout and Why Is It Important?

A sewer line cleanout is a capped access point to your main sewer pipe. It lets a plumber inspect and clear clogs fast without digging. Using the cleanout, we perform video camera scoping, snaking/rooter work, and hydro-jetting to remove roots, grease, and debris. It speeds emergencies and can support trenchless repair or replacement when needed. Some older homes lack an accessible cleanout; we can add cleanouts during sewer work to improve future service in Oakland and nearby East Bay cities.
